JEAN PAUL GAULTIER EXHIBITION STOCKHOLM - PART I

I veckan hade jag en fantastiskt trevlig dag med min bästa vän. Vi tog en promenad upp till Arkitekt- och Design Centrum som det nu heter, med entré precis till höger om stora entrén till Moderna museet på Skeppsholmen i Stockholm. Vi gick på den fantastiska Jean Paul Gaultier utställningen (klipp från TV4 exklusiva intervjuv) som var enormt inspirerande. Utställningen var mycket större än jag trott så ta tid på er. Vi tog en fika på Café Blom i trädgården efter halva utställningen.
Jag som älskar att skapa med mina händer uppskattade varje detalj av fantastiskt hantverk som tagit otaliga timmar att skapa. Tänk att få sitta i en haute couture atelje och pilla med olika materiel. Det skulle passa mig för jag har det rätta tålamodet för små, små detaljer.
Det finns en fransk film jag gillar som heter Broderier, Brodeuses i originaltitel från 2004.  Handlar om Clair 17 år som hamnar i en situation och hon söker hon jobb hos Madame Melikian som broderar åt haute couturen i Paris. Det blir ett oförutsett möte och medan broderierna växer fram, vävs också vänskapens trådar samman. Se den om ni inte gjort det!
Man fick fotografera utan blixt på JPG utställningen och jag klippte +120 bilder med min dåliga mobilkamera men vissa blev roliga och jag kommer visa några här i olika inlägg. Jag börjar uppifrån och ner så här är några huvudbilder.


This week I had a wonderful and enjoyable day with my best friend. We took a walk up to the Architectural and Design Centre at Skeppsholmen in Stockholm as it is now called, with the entrance just to the right of the main entrance to the Museum of Modern Art. We watched the great Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition (cut from TV4 exclusive intervjuv, only for Swedish viewers) which was hugely inspiring. The exhibition was much larger than I imagined so take your time. We took a coffee break at Café Blom in the garden after viewing half of the exhibition.
I, who love to create with my hands, appreciated every detail of the amazing craft that took countless hours to create. Imagine sitting in a haute couture studio and fiddle with various materials. It would suit me because I have the right patience for tiny details.
There's a French movie I like called 'Embroidery', Brodeuses is the original title from 2004. About Clair 17 old who is in a situation and she gets a job at Madame Melikian who embroiders for Paris haute couture houses. An unexpected meeting and while the designs are emerging, are also interwoven threads of friendship. Watch it if you have not done it!
You may photograph without a flash in the JPG exhibition and I took +120 pictures with my poor mobile camera phone but some came out fun, and I will show some here in various posts. I start from the top to bottom so here are some head shoots.
