UPHOLSTERY OF MY CHAIR

Idag har jag klätt om stolen jag sitter på vid datorn. Den fick jag ärva efter min morfar. En kromstol som jag egentligen inte vet något om men gillar den då den är luftig och visuellt inte tar upp en massa plats samt att det är en snurrstol så man kan vrida sig 360°, vilket är bra då jag ofta sitter på den och vrider mig om för att titta på TVn fram och tillbaks. Häromveckan var jag ju på utförsäljning i Designer´s Guilds showroom och köpte billigt gamla provpärmar. Det här tyget från en av provpärmarna heter "Zambra" och räckte precis till att klä om sitsen på.

Today I did upholstery on the chair I'm sitting on by my computer. I inherited this chair from my grandfather. A chrome chair that I know nothing about but like it when it is airy and visually does not take up a lot of space and it is a swivel chair so you can rotate 360 degrees, which is great because I often sit on it and swivel to watch the TV back and forth. The other week I went to the sale in the Designer´s Guilds showroom and bought old sample files. This fabric is from one of the sample files and it is called "Zambra" and it was just enough material for the seat to be upholstered.

BARGAIN OF THE WEEK!

Veckans fynd var när jag hade ärende upp till Birkastan och råkade se att Designer´s Guild hade ett showroom där och att de hade utförsäljning som de bara har 2 gånger per år.  Jag frågade om de hade provböcker att sälja och då gick hon och plockade fram 8 stora bjässar med både tyg och tapetprover. Jag fick köpa dem för 20 kr styck vilket var ett mycket bra pris med tanke på att provbitarna är stora för böckerna är stora. Tunga och otympliga att frakta hem men väl värt det! Så de kan jag göra massa kul pyssel med framöver. Vi får se vad det blir!

Bargain of the week was when I made a trip up to Birkastan in Stockholm and happened to discover that Designer's Guild had a showroom there and that they had a sale as they have only two times per year. I asked if they had sample books to sell and then she went and brought up 8 big books both with fabric and wallpaper samples. I was able to buy them for only 20 SEK each, which was a very good price considering that the samples are big pieces when the books are huge. Heavy and awkward to carry home but well worth it! I can make lots of fun crafts with those. We'll see how I will use them!
