Hej och God Jul! Jag har inte hunnit uppdatera bloggen men hoppas verkligen kunna göra det mer framöver. Vi firade jul på Lucia i år då min dotter skulle resa vill USA. Så idag när det nu är julafton känns det som jag redan firat min jul. Fler bilder efter texten!

Hunnit pyssla lite som ni ser nedan på bilderna och jag är så glad åt vasen Lotus från Oscar & Clothilde som jag bl a fick av min dotter i julklapp. Den kan man förändra om och om igen.
Vissa restauranger har tydligen köpt den för att servera fishbowl drinkar i.
Jag har dekorerat med några julkulor i köket istället för gran, kulor som jag köpte på Liberty i London i september i deras underbara julavdelning högst upp i korsvirkeshuset som är byggt av virket från 2 gamla regalskepp. Kulorna har jag hängt i min gamla aluminiumlampa som jag köpte på House vid Odenplan för många år sedan... finns inte kvar längre. Där har jag lagt krankvistar och ledljusslingor och julkulorna svävar i luften.
I fönstret har jag gjort som ett stilleben av saker jag hade hemma och lite amaryllisar och blå hyacinter runt om i lägenheten då de dofter mest och starkast och massor med frukt som litchies, kaki, granatäpple och clementiner. Ett måste hos mig och skumtomtar förstås :-)

Nedan ser ni ett snabbt julljus jag gjorde av en gamnal syltburk häromdagen, la i några murgröneblad, några torkade röda bärkvistar som jag sparat från en höstbukett jag fick och så tog jag bort metallbotten på ett vanligt värmeljus så blir det ett flytljus då du fyller burken med vatten. Enkelt, återvunnet och juligt!

Hello and Merry Christmas! I have not had time to update the blog but hope to do so more in the future. 
We celebrated Christmas at Lucia this year, December 13th  when my daughter travelled the United States for Christmas. So today when it's Christmas Eve, it feels like I have already celebrated my Xmas2014! More pictures below the text!

I had a little time making my flat a bit festive and new as I do every year. That is my tradition, making new, remake of old etc
You can see below in the pictures how it turned out this year and I'm so happy about the vase Lotus from Oscar & Clothilde that I, among other gifts got from my daughter for Christmas. I will be able to can change again and again and will have fun rearranging it.
Some restaurants have apparently bought it to serve fishbowl drinks in.

I have decorated with some Christmas Balls in the kitchen instead of a Christmas tree and with balls that I bought at Liberty in London in September at their wonderful Christmas department at the top of the tudor house  which is built out of wood from two regal ships. The balls I have been hanging in my old aluminum lamp that I bought at the House at Odenplan many years ago ... is not there anymore. I have placed pine branches on the lamp and Led lights and the festive beautiful and delicate glass<<<<christmas balls hovering in the air.
In the window, I have done like a still life of arrangement of what I had at home and Amaryllises and blue Hyacinths around the flat, the scents most  strong with the blue ones and then lots of fruits like litchies, khaki, pomegranate and clementines. A must with me and Swedish Skumtomtar, of course:-)

Below you can see a quick Christmas lights I made of aold jam jar the other day. Just put in some ivy leaf, some dried red berry twigs that I saved from an autumn bouquet I received or whatever you have and then I removed the metal base on a regular tealight, it becomes a floating candle when you fill the jar with water. Simple, recycled and Christmassy!

RUSTY CANDLE LANTERN

För många år sedan köpte jag denna metallåda på Ikea som säkert många av er känner igen. De senaste åren har jag förvarat massa orkidéer i dem efter att ha först klätt dem med cellofan. När jag för en tid sedan slängde orkidéerna och rensade ut lådan så har vattnet läckt igenom cellofanet och det har bildats rost i botten på lådan. Vacker rost! Har undrat hur jag skulle använda den och kom på en idé häromdagen att ställa den på högkant och satte ett tjockt rött doftljus med grönmossa nertill och det blir en effektfull ljuslykta där ljuset reflekterar så vackert i rosten. Nedan ser du mer detaljbild på rosten!

Many years ago I bought this metal box at Ikea that I am are sure many of you recognize. In recent years I have kept it full of orchids after having first dressed the inside of the box with cellophane. When I recently threw the orchids out and cleaned out the box, the water had leaked through the cellophane and the bottom of the box had turned all rusty. Beautiful rust! Have wondered how I would use it and came up with an idea the other day to set it on its side and put a thick red fragrant candle with green moss at the bottom and it becomes a nice lantern where the light reflects so beautifully in the rusty backdrop. Below is more detailed picture of the rust!
